Landscape on the Move: social lunch by the Koren

Landscape on the Move is a community lunch bringing together participants from the Rethinkable Festival, UNISCAPE professors, and local citizens along the Koren stream. This eco-conscious event will feature tree planting as part of the GO!2025 Green Spots and Mobility project, transforming the area into a green space. Guests will enjoy a meal inspired by local cuisine, paired with wines from the Malvasia Network and other regional producers, all served on tables made from repurposed materials.

Program of the Day

Koren Park 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Arrival at the west corner of the Koren area.

Tree Installation
Trees will be planted in large circular containers. The installation will be managed by the University of Nova Gorica (UNG) as part of the Green Spots and Mobility project. The tree-planting process will be captured in photos and videos!

Food and Wine
A simple lunch will be provided, featuring gulasch, pasta and beans, and a variety of snacks. Wines will be supplied by the Malvasia Network and other local producers, with an introduction to the initiative during the meal. A tent will be set up in the forest clearing, serving local and organic food in line with the eco-friendly theme—no plastic allowed!

Large wooden cable reels will be repurposed as circular tables, featuring the logos of Green Spots and Mobility (GSM) and GreenInCities (GIC).

In Case of Rain
We won’t stop! The event will go ahead as planned, and participants are advised to bring boots and rain ponchos. White and green umbrellas will be provided to ensure a pleasant experience, rain or shine.

Join us to experience nature and community in a sustainable way!
